An international clothing retailer seeks a Head of HR in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Qualifications

Job responsibilities
  • Lead the HR team with 3 Managers as direct reports. The scope of responsibilities covers C&B, HRIS Management, TA, TalentDevelopment, Labour Management, Training, Employer Branding, Employee Engagement, Mobility, H&S and General Admin.
  • Part of the Local Management team that consists of C‑Suite and Management Directors who actively discuss company plan and issues for the achievement of business goals.
  • Key in managing stakeholder relationships both internally and externally such as local business partners, local authority, universities for talent pipeline and Global Officers of the Company.
  • Appointed as a member in the Discipline Committee for a subsidiary company. Along with the Committee, they will discuss and confirm disciplinary action proposed by the subsidiary HR.
Requirements
  • Degree with post‑graduate qualifications in HR Mgt and Compensation & Benefits.
  • Good working knowledge of all employment and related laws and legislation.
  • 10‑12 years of experience in human resources management in the region including well‑rounded experience in the various HR disciplines, of which 5 years should be in a Head of Dept position which required the incumbent to develop the team in terms of HR development, compensation & benefits, employee engagement.
  • Track record of working closely with Snr Mgt team in matrix‑managed organizations.
  • Must have prior experience in the retail.
  • Business partnering oriented and the ability to provide both strategic and tactical leadership in human resources.
  • Strong written/spoken communications and influencing skills with assertiveness and decisiveness, carefully balanced with tact and diplomacy.
  • Strong leadership qualities and interpersonal skills and the ability to establish confidence and credibility.
  • Highly motivated & independent individual coupled with strong tenacity and the ability to multitasks and problem‑solve efficiently to achieve expected standard of timeliness and accuracy.
