A manufacturing company in Johor Bahru is seeking an HR cum Admin Manager to oversee HR functions, ensure compliance with local labor regulations, and support a workforce of 20-50 staff. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in HR and administration, hold a diploma or degree in a relevant field, and be fluent in Mandarin and English. This role involves establishing HR systems, managing foreign employee work passes, and enhancing employee engagement. Salary is negotiable up to RM9,000.

Key Responsibilities
1. Human Resources Management
Establish or improve HR and administrative management systems in accordance with the company’s strategic development, policy and Malaysian regulations.
Oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding training, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations. attendance tracking and resignation processes
Develop and implement recruitment plans based on organizational structure; organize interviews, selection, and onboarding to ensure timely staffing of key positions.
Administer compensation and benefits including EPF, SOCSO, and other statutory contributions
Maintain employee records in full compliance with Malaysian labour regulations
Promote employee engagement and communication to enhance team cohesion and maintain workforce stability.
Prepare and execute HR and administrative budgets, ensuring cost-effective expenditure control.
Communicate with relevant Malaysian agencies (SSM, Immigration Department, Labor Department, etc.)
Manage work permit applications and renewals for foreign staff (Employment Pass/Visit Pass)
Monitor regulatory changes and support the company’s compliance efforts
3. Office & Administrative Support
Oversee office procurement, facility maintenance, and general admin operations
Coordinate internal and external communications and administrative affairs to support smooth HR and administrative operations.
Ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
At least 5 years of combined HR and admin experience, with solid understanding of Malaysian labour law
Fluent in Mandarin and English (able to work with Chinese, Malay, and English documentation)
Able to support a workforce of approximately 20-50 staff and workers
Experience handling foreign employee work passes (DP/EP)
Understanding of Malaysian & China cultural
Outgoing personality with strong teamwork spirit, attention to detail, and a high sense of responsibility.
