Overview

We are seeking a highly capable, hands-on, and strategic HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support a fast-growing Global Business Services (GBS) center based in Malaysia. This role plays a critical part in building a people-first, performance-driven culture that supports business scalability and transformation.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned HR professional with strong experience in GBS or shared services environments. You will be responsible for managing both strategic HR initiatives and day-to-day HR operations, while working with local and global stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted HR advisor to GBS leadership and people managers.
  • Provide day-to-day consultation and guidance to managers and employees on workplace issues and conflict resolution.
  • Support organizational and talent development initiatives, including succession planning, performance management, and participation in talent review processes.
  • Assist with annual salary and bonus planning to ensure competitive and equitable compensation.
  • Lead and support organizational change initiatives that drive business transformation.
  • Deliver coaching and training to managers on performance management, employee engagement, and other HR-related topics.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Prepare and present HR data and reports to leadership to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition teams to address hiring needs and support workforce planning.
Required Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant working experience
  • Strong GBS experience, ideally supporting finance, IT, or commercial shared services.
  • Hands-on experience managing HR operations, employee relations, and talent processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities across local and global teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; English fluency is a must.
  • Must demonstrate agility, critical thinking, and ability to execute at speed.
  • Proven experience handling confidential matters, crisis management, and engagement strategy.
  • Familiarity with Workday or similar HRIS platforms is an advantage.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: Up to RM18,000/month
