🌟 We are hiring: HR Assistant Manager (Manufacturing) 🌟
📍 Location: Chemor, Perak
Are you passionate about people and factory operations? Sanctuary Health is seeking a dynamic and hands‑on HR Assistant Manager to lead and manage the full spectrum of HR functions in our manufacturing environment.
This role is key in ensuring smooth HR operations, workforce stability, and compliance with Malaysian labor laws. You’ll work closely with factory management and department heads to drive recruitment, performance management, employee engagement, compliance, and continuous improvement of HR processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Operations & Compliance
- Manage daily HR operations at the factory level, including payroll processing, attendance, leave, and benefits administration.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian labor laws, Industrial Relations Act, and factory-specific regulations.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data for both local and foreign workers.
- Prepare statutory reports (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRDF) and ensure timely submission.
- Support internal and external audits related to HR and compliance matters.
2. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Responsible for end-to-end recruitment process for the Company.
- Liaise with local agencies, foreign worker agents, and government departments for manpower sourcing and permit renewals.
- Conduct interviews and coordinate selection with department managers.
- Manage onboarding, induction, and orientation programs to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
- Monitor manpower planning and turnover trends to maintain adequate staffing levels.
- Review Shift patterns, monitor and control working hours and overtime.
3. Performance Management
- Administer the annual and mid-year performance appraisal processes for all employees.
- Support supervisors and department managers in setting KPIs and providing performance feedback.
- Identify performance gaps and collaborate with management to develop improvement plans.
- Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
4. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Act as the primary contact for employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and counselling sessions.
- Handle disciplinary inquiries and ensure actions comply with labor law and company policy.
- Build strong rapport with employees and encourage open communication to maintain industrial harmony.
- Plan and implement employee engagement and welfare programs to boost morale and teamwork.
- Support health and safety initiatives in collaboration with the EHS team.
5. Learning & Development
- Conduct training needs analysis in collaboration with department heads and supervisors.
- Coordinate technical and soft skills training programs to enhance workforce capability.
- Maintain accurate training records and HRDF documentation.
- Support continuous improvement and skill development initiatives for employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws, foreign worker regulations, and HR best practices. Knowledge on social compliances such as RBA/Smeta will be added advantage.
- Hands‑on experience in recruitment, payroll, and industrial relations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced factory setting.
- High integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
