Job summary

PETRONAS in Bangi, Selangor, Malaysia, seeks an IT Intern to contribute to software development in HPC environments and help optimize Python algorithms for large-scale computing.

You will work with PyTorch, JAX, and Numba for multi-GPU/multi-node execution, build reproducible compute environments using Singularity/Docker, and manage containerized workflows with Conda. Basic Linux admin tasks are included.

Qualifications

• Experience with Python in HPC environments.
• Familiarity with containerization and reproducible compute environments.
• Basic Linux system administration knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and scale Python code for multi-GPU/multi-node execution.
• Develop and maintain reproducible compute environments using containers (Singularity, Docker) and conda.
• Perform basic IT system administration of Linux-based local compute infrastructure.
