Hotel Sales Manager - 5 Star Resort (Work from Home)

The Sales Manager will be entrusted with the comprehensive responsibility of achieving defined sales targets and revenue objectives within the Malaysian market. This role demands a strategic and results-oriented individual who can ensure the company attains and sustains a competitive market share, while optimizing profitability and long-term business viability.


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Conducts an average of 4–6 high-quality sales calls per day, each aligned with clearly defined call objectives and tailored to individual client needs and opportunities.

  • Maintains in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of all resort facilities, services, packages, and promotions to confidently present offerings to clients and prospects.

  • Performs comprehensive competitive analysis, monitoring sales initiatives of rival hotels and providing actionable recommendations to the Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Develops and executes targeted sales strategies through a structured client selection process, aiming to increase market share and drive occupancy and revenue.

  • Proactively identifies new business leads via telemarketing, networking, and market research, followed by implementation of customized sales approaches to convert prospects into clients.

  • Hosts and entertains key accounts and high-potential clients in line with business priorities to build rapport and encourage loyalty.

  • Enhances resort visibility and brand positioning through personalized direct sales efforts, including in-person meetings, phone outreach, and professionally crafted written communications.

  • Ensures that all client-facing materials, including sales proposals, presentations, and contracts, are aligned with company's brand standards and contain accurate, current information.

  • Executes the sales activities and targets outlined in the annual sales activity calendar, aligning daily efforts with broader departmental goals.

  • Consistently achieves monthly and annual individual sales targets, contributing directly to overall revenue growth.

  • Guarantees that all sales contracts conform to the resort’s established legal, financial, and procedural standards before finalization.

  • Represents the resort at key industry events, trade shows, and corporate functions as designated by the DOSM, promoting brand awareness and developing business contacts.

  • Manages and evaluates key corporate and group accounts, using data insights provided by the Revenue Management Team to optimize engagement and profitability.


Qualifications


  • Over 2 years of managerial-level experience in the hospitality/tourism industry, with a strong focus on sales and marketing functions within hotel operations.

  • Extensive knowledge of both corporate and leisure travel segments in Malaysia, with a deep understanding of market trends, client behavior, and strategic partnership opportunities.

  • Experienced in developing targeted campaigns and customized packages to meet the needs of diverse customer bases.

  • Proven success in driving revenue growth and surpassing business objectives, including expanding market share, increasing direct bookings, and securing key accounts.

  • Proficient in both English and Mandarin, with strong skills in reading, speaking, and writing. Candidates should be proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
