Job description

Location: Mahkota Medical Centre, Melaka

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise housekeeping staff, particularly foreign workers.
  • Ensure daily cleaning operations are carried out according to hospital standards.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for client feedback and complaints.
  • Prepare monthly reports and assist in updating documents for management review.
  • Ensure full compliance with hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control standards.
  • Prepare staff monthly roster and staff daily deployment covering routine and project schedules.
  • Conduct routine inspection and highlight to housekeepers on areas that need improvement.
  • Conduct joint inspections with customer as per schedule.
  • Carry out corrective actions when and where applicable to improve service quality.
  • Maintain and update consumables stock level.
  • To participate in risk, safety, quality, environmental and business continuity activities of the organization.
  • Report any job related injuries, strains or illnesses as a result of doing your job to the Head of Facility.
  • Perform other specialized cleaning duties as required by superior.
Requirements
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Possesses strong drive, enthusiasm, firmness, and self-motivation.
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).
  • Educational background in Healthcare Support Services or Housekeeping Service is an advantage.
  • Supervisory experience in healthcare housekeeping operations.
  • Strong knowledge of infection control protocols, waste management, and MSQH audit processes.
