Position Overview

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of homestay/short-stay units. This role ensures that every guest is welcomed into a comfortable, spotless, and well-prepared environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Make beds, replace linens, towels, and other guest supplies.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas to required hygiene standards.
  • Empty trash bins and ensure proper waste disposal.
  • Restock consumables (toiletries, tissue, water bottles, etc.) according to inventory guidelines.
  • Conduct unit checks before guest arrivals and after check-outs.
  • Report damages, missing items, or maintenance issues to the operator/management immediately.
  • Follow cleaning checklist and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency.
  • Maintain cleaning tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Uphold safety and cleanliness standards at all times.
Additional Duties (if required)
  • Assist with laundry and ironing of linens.
  • Work with the team to improve guest satisfaction and reviews.
