A leading heavy machinery service firm in Malaysia is seeking skilled Heavy Machinery Mechanics to ensure the readiness of a diverse fleet. We are seeking skilled and motivated Heavy Machinery Technicians/Mechanics to join our Service Department. This role is crucial for ensuring the operational readiness and longevity of our diverse fleet, including forklifts, excavators, loaders, and various industrial equipment. The primary purpose is to execute precise inspection, diagnostic analysis, complex repair, and routine maintenance to guarantee all units operate safely, efficiently, and in strict compliance with OEM specifications and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently inspect and perform advanced diagnostic testing on heavy equipment to isolate performance anomalies, detect complex system faults, and pinpoint malfunctions in high-demand operational environments.
Execute major and minor repairs on critical sub-systems, including diesel engines, powershift transmissions, complex hydraulic systems, and low/high-voltage electrical components.
Precisely disassemble, inspect, and reassemble machinery components and attachments according to manufacturer specifications.
Fluently interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and leverage Service and Parts Manuals for accurate parts identification and repair sequence execution.
Maintain detailed service logs and comprehensive repair records, accurately reflecting time, materials, and resolution steps for system traceability.
Strive to fix and resolve equipment breakdown problems within a single field service trip to minimize client downtime.
Effectively communicate technical findings to customers, advise them on necessary repairs, and possess the aptitude to convince the customer in acquiring jobs which need repair.
Strictly adhere to the service department's "Do's and Don'ts" policy regarding customer care and the handling of the service vehicle while on customer premises.
Consistently achieve the set monthly labour utilization target.
Preferred Qualifications:
SKM Certificate/Diploma in Heavy Machinery Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering or related field
Certification from a recognized vocational school or heavy equipment manufacturer is a distinct advantage.
Proven working experience 3 years in the service, maintenance, and repair business, preferably focused on industrial or construction heavy equipment.
Profound knowledge of advanced machinery diagnostic tools and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic control systems.
Strong analytical ability and an aptitude for problem-solving complex or intermittent faults.
Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills for customer interaction and accurate job reporting.
Physically fit and capable of working in various indoor and outdoor field service environments.
