The candidate will oversee safety programs, ensure compliance with local regulations, and promote a strong safety culture. Requirements include HSE certifications and 3-5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.

Qualifications

  • Registered Safety and Health Officer (SHO) or Yellow Book holder certified by DOSH Malaysia.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of HSE experience in construction.
  • Experience on data center or M&E-heavy projects preferred.

Job Title: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated HSE Officer to oversee and implement health, safety, and environmental programs on a data center construction project in Johor Bahru. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with statutory requirements and promote a strong safety culture across all site activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and enforce project-specific HSE policies, plans, and procedures.
  • Conduct daily site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Ensure full compliance with Malaysian safety and environmental regulations (DOSH, DOE, etc.).
  • Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training for site personnel and subcontractors.
  • Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring timely corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate HSE records, documentation, and reports for project management review.
  • Collaborate with the project team and contractors to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Support continuous improvement in safety performance and awareness across all site operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
  • Registered Safety and Health Officer (SHO) or Yellow Book holder certified by DOSH Malaysia.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of HSE experience in construction; experience on data center or M&E-heavy projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of local HSE regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a dynamic and fast-paced project environment.
