Job description

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce adherence to safety and health standards across all operations, including manufacturing, equipment maintenance, warehousing, and logistics.
• Design and implement comprehensive Safety, Health, and ESG strategies aligned with laws, regulations, and industry best practices; foster a strong safety culture across the organization.
• Manage risk assessments, incident reporting, and escalation processes.
• Drive sustainability initiatives in manufacturing, focusing on water and energy conservation, zero waste, and greenhouse gas/emission reduction.
• Conduct regular HIRARC assessments to identify hazards and implement effective mitigation measures.
• Establish and maintain robust systems, including policies, procedures, and training programs, to ensure a safe working environment for employees and contractors.
• Must hold a Green Book certification.
• Reports to Senior Manufacturing Manager; member of the Malaysia-wide management team (covering all FNBM and FNDM plants).

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other relevant fields.
• Relevant qualifications in occupational safety, health, or environmental management.
• In-depth understanding of compliance requirements within the FMCG industry.
• Proven ability to lead ESG initiatives and sustainability projects.
• Strong analytical skills to assess risks and implement solutions effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and conduct training sessions.
• Proactive and detail-oriented mindset for managing multiple priorities in Selangor.
