The Pfizer Health Representative will be the central contact in connecting customers within their accounts to therapies that advance wellness, prevention, treatments, and cures to the most feared diseases of our time. Central to the Health Representative’s role will be the introduction of a new & promoted medicines and innovative digital service that will help elevate Health Care Professionals’ patient care. The role is consultative; spanning Pfizer’s entire resource and product portfolio for their customer base and one that will result in long standing and truly valued relationships with customers.
The Health Representative will draw on healthcare knowledge and understanding of the health and pharmaceutical industry, as well as Pfizer and the product portfolio, so that customers achieve the solutions they need.
The Health Representative should be proficient at planning and executing an effective relationship strategy and building/maintaining effective, long-term business relationships with assigned territory customers. The Health Representative identifies and prioritizes Pfizer opportunities through understanding customers’ business and strategic imperatives. The Health Representative is responsible for developing and executing an effective sales planning for Channel and HCPs.
Responsibilities
- Identify and implement the most efficient virtual/in-person engagement strategies by customer to maximize overall effectiveness and impact. Develop and implement effective business and territory call plans and adapt based on identified opportunities and insights.
- Effectively build rapport and relationships with customers across virtual and F2F environments; maintain a methodical approach toward call objectives, including clear next steps and appropriate documentation, managing KPIs and utilizing digital tools (e.g., Veeva Engage, Zoom, WebEx, Microsoft Office) as well as adapting quickly to new tools for successful customer engagement.
- Compliantly engage key customers to grow business and drive product demand by proactively providing education that meets HCP and patients’ needs.
- Develop and deliver relevant, targeted messaging utilizing approved materials via customer engagement to drive product demand and leverage customer priorities to drive a positive business outcome.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of market knowledge, products, and disease states to enable meaningful dialogue with key stakeholders.
- Strategically deploy Pfizer resources to support HCPs (e.g., patient education, adherence resources) and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional colleagues, including Medical, Market Access, and Marketing.
- Present contract terms where appropriate and proactively answer on‑label questions; introduce customers to future state Pfizer Pro with targeted content.
- Effectively use calendaring tools, leadership goals, and customer insights to address priorities and bring insights from surveys to leadership to improve the model.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree; preferred Pharmacy/Science and Health background.
- Minimum 2 years of previous sales experience is an added advantage.
- History of promotional or sales success, territory management skills, effective communication, teamwork, leadership, and accountability.
- Valid driver’s license and a driving record in compliance with company standards.

- Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech sales.
- Must live within the territory.
- Experience with therapeutic area and products associated with this role.
- In-depth knowledge of posted territory customers and markets.
- Develop comprehensive territory/customer plans to drive achievement.
- Strategically overcome obstacles to access difficult-to-see providers and customers.
- Cultivate relationships with KOLs and top priority customers.
- Assess needs of target physicians and address them with appropriate resources.
- Strong business acumen, problem solving, strategic thinking, data analytical skills, project management, planning and prioritization.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new ways of working.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to analyze sales data and call reporting software.
