About the job Health Information Management Manager

Our Client is an internationally accredited, multi-disciplinary and tertiary care private hospital located in the Klang Valley Region. It was recognized in 2021 for its excellence as imperatives in the digital health industry. As part of their growth plans, they are seeking to hire a dedicated, and experienced Health Information Management Manager to be part of their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and effectively manage the operation of the Health Information Management [HIM] department.
  • Manage the hospital's patients records both in hard copy and electronic records format, from their creation through to eventual disposal, comprising the management of the creation, filing, storage, archiving and disposal.
  • Maintain and secure all written and electronic medical records within the organization which includes ensuring that the information contained in the patient record is complete, accurate, and only available to authorized personnel - ensuring information security and integrity compliance [data protection, release of information, information governance].
  • Ensure all regulatory requirements are met for the services under its purview and is required to monitor regulatory and legal changes in laws regarding patient record.
  • Implement quality management and operational initiatives for efficient management of the HIM department functions / operational activities and ensures that the quality system is maintained at all times; with processes being constantly reviewed and developed to meet the changing requirements and expectations of the customers.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in healthcare managementor any other related discipline.
  • Experiencein healthcare industry/hospital setting is a MUST.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong integrity withdirect experience with transcription, data management, forms management, record digitization, statutory reporting and committee management.
