Job description

An established international manufacturing organization is looking for a Head of Supply Chain to lead and manage the entire supply chain process to enhance business development, ensure sustainability, and achieve customer satisfaction. This position directly reports to the Operations Director.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies that align with overall business objectives, driving operational excellence across procurement, logistics, shipping, and inventory management functions
  • Implement supply chain policies that support business strategies, by adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities and cost-effective strategies
  • Oversee global and domestic logistics operations, including inbound shipment of raw materials and outbound delivery of finished products to distributors, retailers, and project clients
  • Lead international shipping operations, ensuring timely customs clearance, freight optimization, and compliance with import/export regulations and sustainability standards
  • Design and implement cost-effective transportation and warehousing strategies to improve delivery reliability, reduce lead times, and optimize freight costs
  • Communicate with internal customers & external suppliers in respect of different procurements needs
  • Manage and develop a high-performing supply chain team, providing leadership, coaching, and capability development across procurement, logistics, and shipping functions
  • Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements
  • Reviewing corrective actions and ensuring compliance on the outcome of customer complaints investigation
  • Drive efficiency and risk management across the value chain, identifying potential disruptions in logistics or material supply and establishing robust contingency plans
  • Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, maintain all relevant shipping documentation, and prepare necessary reports
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, laws, and regulations for shipping, receiving, and delivery operations
Key Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management or related field of study
  • Minimum 15 years’ supply chain management experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Proficient in supply chain software and tools, including ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), WMS (Warehouse Management System), and MES (Manufacturing Execution System)
  • Prior experience working with colleagues from various functions across different regions
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office tools
  • Global awareness, good business ethics, and an understanding of legal contracts
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, management and collaborative skills
  • Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
  • Ability to look at situations from several points of view
