Job description

A highly established organization is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Security to lead its global security strategy. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of continuous, coordinated, and comprehensive risk management and security services across all operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement security strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring regular review and continuous improvement of security plans
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate security into business continuity planning
  • Deliver expert functional and technical guidance across all aspects of security management
  • Establish and enforce security audit standards, conduct periodic audits, and recommend actionable improvements
  • Lead intelligence gathering and security operations to prevent pilferage or theft of company assets, including those in transit
  • Maintain and enhance security policies, procedures, and practices to safeguard personnel, assets, information, and operational continuity
  • Plan and execute investigations into security incidents, whistle‑blowing reports, and related activities
  • Coordinate risk and crisis management processes, ensuring proactive assessment, planning, and mitigation of potential threats
  • Support Business Unit Heads in minimizing security risks to personnel and assets
  • Monitor and analyse national security developments that may impact business operations and disseminate relevant intelligence
  • Collaborate on investigations and enforcement initiatives with internal teams and key business partners
  • Provide timely, data‑driven advice through comprehensive security risk and threat assessments (SRM) to support informed decisions on new business models and directions
  • Provide timely security updates and strategic advice to the leadership team on emerging threats or disruptions affecting business continuity
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with international security standards
  • Lead and mentor a team of security professionals, fostering a culture of vigilance and resilience
Key Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Law/Security Management or any relevant field of study
  • At least fifteen years’ service experience in the Police taskforce
  • Minimum ten years of prior corporate security management experience
  • For those who are still serving in the Police Force, you would need to be at least a Deputy Commissioner of Police to be considered
  • Strong experience in crime investigations, preventive measure initiatives and crisis management
  • Have strong network/connection with Police in Bukit Aman and Chief of State Police
  • In depth, comprehensive knowledge of security management and an acceptable level of operational security expertise
  • Ability to identify and address key security issues to support strategic business needs
  • Proven track record in providing strategic direction, planning and establishing priorities that ensure an effective work structure which maximizes productivity and achieves goals
  • Able to carry out relevant risk assessments of the potential threats to personnel, assets, information, installations and business operations, and take appropriate security/mitigation measures including the development of procedures and plans.
