A multinational automotive company in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Training Manager to lead the design and execution of strategic training programs. This role is essential in equipping sales teams with necessary skills for business growth and customer success. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the automotive industry and strong capabilities in training design and sales management. Excellent leadership and coaching skills are crucial for this position.
You will do that This role is designed to lead the design, development, and execution of strategic training programs as well as continue manage and promote the work of field development to enhance the effectiveness and performance of the Sales Function
You will do that This role ensures that sales teams are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to drive business growth and customer success —with order achievement and visit effectiveness as core objectives. The position plays a critical role in aligning sales training initiatives with organizational goals by leveraging a mix of instructional design, delivery methods, and performance metrics. The role also contributes to broader talent development strategies within the Sales Function.
You will do that Additionally, through coaching, checking, and guiding, the role aims to enhance salespeople’s capabilities and behaviors related to field visiting and selling, support the achievement of sales targets, and provide practical scripts and tools to facilitate execution.
Bachelor Degree, Prefer major in Sales Management or Auto Mechanics
Over 7–9 years of experience in the automotive industry, including a minimum of 2 years each in training and sales management roles.
Demonstrated expertise in sales techniques, negotiation strategies, and the effective use of sales enablement scripts and tools.
A proven track record in sales leadership, with strong capabilities in field operations, customer engagement, and developing and executing sales strategies. Skilled in setting performance targets and consistently exceeding sales goals.
Proven ability to design, deliver, and evaluate training programs across diverse formats (in‑person, virtual, e‑learning), tailored to both consumer and commercial tyre business units.
Experience working in complex, cross‑functional environments, with the ability to influence stakeholders and manage external vendors.
Exposure to retail, commercial transport, or similar industries is highly desirable.
Deep knowledge of training needs analysis, instructional design, and training evaluation methodologies.
Strong understanding of the automotive, retail, or transport industry, especially in sales and retail functions.
Solid technical and product knowledge of both consumer and commercial tyres, with the ability to translate this into effective training content.
Ability to leverage past sales and management experience to enrich training design and delivery.
Skilled in training resource planning and management, including budgeting, scheduling, and vendor coordination.
Demonstrates leadership potential and willingness to transition into a sales management role for future career development.
Flexible and mobile, with the ability to relocate based on the needs of the training team or business priorities.
