Overview
To lead, develop, and execute overall sales strategy.
To ensure consistent revenue growth, strong dealer relationships, effective sales operations, and alignment with corporate goals.
To oversee regional sales teams, manages key accounts, drives market expansion, and ensures high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and execute the annual sales strategy in alignment with company business objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities, market segments, fleet sales opportunities, and potential dealership expansions.
- Conduct regular analysis of market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and customer behavior.
- Set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for all channels (retail, fleet, dealer network).
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, taking corrective action where necessary.
- Oversee sales campaigns, product launches, promotional activities, and inventory planning with Marketing & Product teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and key accounts.
- Ensure dealer performance standards are met in terms of sales volume, customer experience, and branding compliance.
- Lead negotiations for major fleet deals, corporate sales, and strategic partnerships.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Provide guidance to regional sales managers, fleet managers, and dealer development teams.
- Implement KPI frameworks, performance evaluations, and training programmes to enhance team capabilities.
5. Operational Excellence
- Oversee sales operations including planning, forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain, Logistics, PDI and Aftersales to ensure product availability and timely deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and brand standards.
6. Customer Experience & Brand Representation
- Drive initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Act as a brand ambassador during industry events, exhibitions, and corporate engagements.
- Collaborate with Marketing to enhance customer touchpoints and overall brand performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent. MBA is an advantage.
- Minimum 10 years of automotive sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong understanding of the automotive market, dealer network operations, and sales forecasting.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and managing sales teams.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical, strategic planning, and decision‑making capabilities.
