Job summary

A leading food manufacturing company in Malaysia seeks an experienced professional to oversee production activities in the UHT industry. The role involves analyzing production issues, ensuring quality standards, and managing equipment and resources efficiently. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Food Technology and at least 10 years of relevant experience are essential. Qualifications

  • Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking Bahasa and English.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • 1. Core experience in UHT INDUSTRY and BEVERAGES PRODUCTS processing.
  • 2. Analyse and investigate production issues and suggest process improvements to enhance production quality and capacity.
  • 3. Prepare and maintain production reports on daily basis.
  • 4. Plan a production schedule based on the sales forecast.
  • 5. Implement and control the production schedule with maximum efficiency and minimum losses.
  • 6. Support production team on daily troubleshooting as and when required.
  • 7. Oversee the production team to manage and execute and reporting day-to-day production activities.
  • 8. Determine the required material resources and monitor the day stocks.
  • 9. Ensure that the final product meets quality standards specifications.
  • 10. Monitor production activities and adjust schedules for on-time delivery.
  • 11. Ensure implementation and adherence to company policies and health and safety procedures.
  • 12. Work and coordinate with the team to plan, schedule and perform production activities.
  • 13. Review and adjust the schedule where needed.
  • 14. Develop production program and guidelines to support company objectives.
  • 15. Determine equipment, material and manpower requirements for project / production execution.
  • 16. Develop the budget and maintain expenses within the budget.
  • 17. Recommend cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
  • 18. Organize on-job-training for team members to achieve production goals.
  • 19. Manage human and material resources to meet production targets.
  • 20. Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement.
  • 21. Establish and implement standard operating procedures for production operations and ensure adherence.
  • 22. Set and monitor product quality standards.
  • 23. Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives.
  • 24. Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement.
  • 25. Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments. Including procurement, distribution, and management.
  • 26. Monitor department KPI and propose for corrective and preventive action.
  • 27. Support in providing all related documents for company certifications requirements.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Engineering (Industrial) / Food Science / Food Technology or equivalent.
  • 2. Minimum 10 years working experience in dairy / milk food manufacturing environment.
  • 3. Experience in handling and manage food safety standards & certificate (ISO 22000, ISO 9001, HACCP, HALAL, GMP, MESTI) and/or other standard mandated by the Government.
  • 4. Possess excellent organizational, planning and management skills; outstanding interpersonal, teamwork skills as well as analytical, problem solving and presentation skills.
  • 5. Proficiency with manufacturing software.
  • 6. Proven track record of managing and improving production processes.
  • 7. Demonstrated ability to implement and sustain continuous improvement initiatives.
  • 8. Able to read, write and speak Bahasa and English to comprehend instructions on the job.
