The British International School Kuala Lumpur is looking to recruit a Head of Primary Learning Support to lead, develop, and inspire inclusive practice across the Primary School.

By joining a Nord Anglia Education school as Head of Primary Learning Support, you will play a pivotal role in shaping provision that ensures every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, regardless of their individual needs.

As Head of Primary Learning Support, you will:

Lead the development, implementation, and review of inclusive teaching and learning practices across the Primary School.

Oversee and manage the Learning Support team, driving professional growth and ensuring effective deployment of staff to maximise impact.

Coordinate targeted interventions and personalised learning pathways for children with additional needs, ensuring progress is closely monitored and communicated.

Work collaboratively with class teachers, year group teams, and assistant teachers to embed high‑quality differentiation and adaptive teaching strategies.

Provide expert guidance and support to staff in identifying, assessing, and supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Build strong, collaborative relationships with parents, ensuring they are actively engaged as partners in their child’s learning journey.

Liaise with external specialists, agencies, and therapists to ensure children receive the right support at the right time.

Champion safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion as central to the ethos and culture of the school.

Contribute to the wider life of the school, including events, enrichment activities, and initiatives that celebrate diversity and promote equity.

Model the school’s values in all aspects of leadership, fostering a culture of respect, empathy, and ambition for all learners.

The Successful Candidate will possess:

The successful candidate will have the ability to inspire, engage, and support all students to achieve their potential.
