Job summary

Randstad Malaysia represents a co-educational British international school in Selangor seeking an experienced Mathematics Curriculum Leader. You will refine and deliver a Cambridge-aligned Maths curriculum, ensuring smooth progression from IGCSE to A-Levels.

You will line-manage a team of Maths educators, drive CPD, monitor attainment with data analysis, and support university preparation for Sixth Form while overseeing budgets and CAIE exam entries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related field.
• PGCE, QTS or Master of Education required.
• Minimum 5 years in secondary Mathematics teaching with Cambridge outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead curriculum design for Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level Mathematics.
• Track and improve student attainment across year groups with data-driven interventions.
• Mentor and evaluate Mathematics educators; promote CPD and best practices.
• Guide Sixth Form students in A-Level Mathematics/Further Mathematics and university prep.
• Oversee department budgets, assessments, and CAIE exam administration.

About the job

• Curriculum Leadership: Oversaw, refine, and deliver a rigorous Mathematics curriculum aligned with Cambridge standards - ensuring smooth progression from KS3 lower secondary into Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge International A-Levels.
• Academic Performance & Data Tracking: Monitor, analyze, and optimize student attainment across all year groups; implement targeted interventions, extension clinics, and super-curricular activities.
• Pedagogical Supervision & Team Management: Line manage, mentor, and evaluate a team of specialist Mathematics educators - promoting continuous professional development (CPD), peer observations, and best practices in STEM instruction.
• Higher Education & University Preparation: Guide Sixth Form students in A-Level Mathematics/Further Mathematics and assist with university preparation for top global destinations.
• Resource & Exam Management: Manage departmental budgets, oversee internal assessment creation, and handle external examination entries and moderation with Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE).

Skills & qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Pure/Applied Mathematics, or a closely related quantitative discipline from a recognized university.
• PGCE, QTS, Master of Education, or an equivalent state-certified teaching license.
• Minimum 5 years of secondary Mathematics teaching experience, with a proven track record of teaching Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level Mathematics / Further Mathematics with high A*/A pass rates.
