The Head of Marketing provides strategic leadership across Marketing Campaigns, Corporate Engagement, Digital Marketing, and Volunteer Management. This role is responsible for shaping the organization’s marketing strategy, driving brand growth, and delivering fundraising results across key channels. The role works closely with the CEO and Leadership Team to position WVM strongly in the public and corporate landscape.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Develop annual marketing and fundraising strategies to drive Child Sponsorship (CS) and Private Non Sponsorship (PNS) growth.
- Oversee the development of campaign calendars, brand positioning, and messaging direction.
- Monitor market trends and guide innovation across digital, corporate, and public engagement.
- Lead and develop the Marketing division, guiding team leads and managers.
- Build capability, foster unity, and strengthen cross-functional collaboration.
- Provide spiritual nurturing and guidance to staff, integrating faith, purpose, and mission into leadership practices.
- Champion and role-model WVM’s Christian ethos in decision‑making, team culture, and staff well‑being.
- Support devotion planning, spiritual formation spaces, and values‑driven conversations in the department.
- Corporate Partnerships & Donor Growth
- Strengthen relationships with major donors, CSR partners, media, and ambassadors/influencers.
- Oversee proposal development, strategic pitches, and high‑value partnership cultivation.
- Digital & Communications Strategy
- Ensure alignment of digital marketing, storytelling, and brand messaging.
- Guide data‑driven approaches to digital engagement and supporter retention.
- Budgeting & Performance Oversight
- Oversee department budgets, resource planning, and ROI reporting.
- Monitor progress against fundraising income targets and strategic KPIs.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
- Minimum 10+ years experience in marketing, fundraising, or related leadership roles.
- Proven track record in leading teams, strategy development, and partnership building.
- Strong business acumen, brand leadership, and cross‑functional management skills.
