Job Summary

The Head of ICT Teacher will lead the school’s ICT Department by developing, implementing, and managing an engaging, future-focused ICT curriculum. The role involves teaching ICT across designated year levels, integrating digital learning across subjects, managing ICT resources, and guiding the school’s technology strategy to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Curriculum Leadership
  • Plan, develop, and deliver the ICT curriculum aligned with international school Cambridge IGCSE standards.
  • Lead the integration of technology into classroom learning across all subjects.
  • Ensure ICT teaching incorporates coding, robotics, digital literacy, and responsible digital citizenship.
  • Assess and monitor students’ progress to ensure effective learning outcomes.
  • Prepare students for ICT-related examinations and competitions.
Departmental Management
  • Lead, mentor, and support ICT teachers and technicians in the department.
  • Oversee the planning and implementation of ICT department goals and annual programs.
  • Ensure up-to-date ICT resources, software, and systems for teaching and learning.
  • Liaise with school management on ICT budgeting, resource planning, and policy development.
Technology & Innovation
  • Promote innovative teaching methods and digital learning tools across the school.
  • Oversee the maintenance and upgrading of ICT labs, hardware, and network systems.
  • Support school-wide technology integration and digital transformation initiatives.
Administration & Support
  • Maintain records of ICT assets, software licenses, and IT usage.
  • Provide ICT-related training and support to teachers and staff.
  • Ensure data protection, cybersecurity awareness, and responsible technology use within the school.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Professional teaching qualification (PGCE, Diploma in Education, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in ICT, with at least 2 years in a leadership or coordination role.
  • Strong knowledge of ICT curriculum design and digital learning trends.
  • Experience in managing ICT infrastructure, systems, and educational technology tools.
