Job Accountabilities - Key Accountabilities
  • The Line(s) of Business Underwriting Manager leads the development of the underwriting strategy for (a) specific line(s) of business and oversees execution to deliver the required portfolio performance
  • This includes identifying opportunities and risks, using data and insights to make informed decisions and implementing changes as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
  • They leverage their knowledge of market trends and distribution dynamics and work through local teams to ensure that customer needs are met.
  • They are a referral point for Underwriting decisions which require empowerment to their level.
  • They collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to deliver the business objectives and work with local underwriting teams to ensure consistency and adherence to underwriting standards.
  • The Line(s) of Business Underwriting Manager plays a key role in improving Underwriting processes and efficiency for their line(s) of business and nurturing talent to ensure that the organisation remains sustainable and fit for the future.
