The Head of Engineering is responsible for leading the engineering team, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful execution of projects and initiatives. This role involves strategic planning, team management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that align with the organization's goals. The Head of Engineering will also play a key role in fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation within the engineering centre.
Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
Experience: 10+ years of experience in engineering roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management position.
Technical Expertise: Strong technical background in [specific engineering domain, e.g., software, mechanical, electrical, etc.], with a deep understanding of engineering principles and methodologies.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, manage conflicts, and drive results.
Project Management: Strong project management skills, with experience in Agile, Scrum, or other methodologies.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Problem‑Solving: Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
