Job description

We are seeking an experienced Head, Global Sourcing professional for our client in the semiconductor industry to lead strategic procurement and supplier management activities for advanced semiconductor packaging and related materials. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing sourcing strategies, optimizing cost structures, and supporting new product initiatives across global supply networks.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end sourcing activities across direct and indirect materials, ensuring supply continuity and cost efficiency.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for outsourced manufacturing and material categories such as assembly, packaging, and supporting components.
• Lead commercial negotiations with key suppliers to achieve cost targets and continuous improvement goals.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams and suppliers to drive value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
• Build and maintain cost models and databases covering manufacturing, testing and logistics elements.
• Partner with product and NPI teams to evaluate suppliers, confirm design and manufacturing capabilities, and support RFQ and financial modeling for new programs.
• Oversee supplier performance management and organize regular business reviews.
• Support procurement operations, documentation and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in semiconductor sourcing, packaging or assembly operations.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills at both technical and executive levels.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally in a global environment.
• Proficiency in data analysis and cost modeling.
• Experience working with suppliers across Asia; multilingual ability is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Materials, Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical). Advanced degree or certification in supply chain management (e.g., MBA, CPSM) preferred.
