Job summary

A major infrastructure company in Kuantan is looking for a Corporate Communications leader with at least 10 years of experience. The successful candidate will develop and implement communication strategies to enhance the company’s reputation and oversee media relations, internal communications, and corporate events. A Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication or a related field is required, along with strong skills in public relations and leadership. Experience in large-scale projects is preferred.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in strategic or corporate communications, including 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in brand management, public relations, and media engagement.
  • Strong communication and writing skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Experience working in GLC/GLIC or large-scale infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in a start-up or transformation environment is an advantage.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the Corporate Communications Department in developing and executing branding, media, marketing, and public relations strategies.
  • Develop and implement communication plans that strengthen the organization’s image and reputation.
  • Oversee media relations, digital communications, internal communications, and corporate events to ensure consistent brand messaging.
  • Provide guidance and strategic advice to management on communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage corporate branding, advertising, and social media initiatives to enhance public awareness and visibility.
  • Oversee crisis communication and ensure timely, transparent, and effective responses.
  • Monitor and evaluate communication performance and media coverage to measure effectiveness.
  • Integrate safety and compliance awareness into all corporate communications initiatives.
