About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Head of Corporate Communications to join our team at AFA PROJECT AND MANAGEMENT SERVICES SDN. BHD. in Batu Caves, Selangor. This is a contract position that will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing our corporate communications strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Group-wide communication strategies and brand governance.
• Oversee media relations, stakeholder engagement, and thought leadership positioning.
• Drive digital and social media presence aligned with corporate objectives.
• Lead integrated campaigns, corporate events, and visual identity management.
• Strengthen internal communication and employee engagement across the Group.
• Manage crisis communication protocols and incident response
• Champion CSR and sustainability communication in collaboration with ESG teams
• Oversee budget, agency/vendor relationships, and performance monitoring.
• Ensure communication activities comply with regulatory, policy, and ethical standards.
• Establish KPIs to measure communication effectiveness and report progress to senior management.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to operational communication teams across subsidiaries.
• Engage with external stakeholders including government bodies, media, NGOs, and community groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
• 10–12 years’ experience in corporate communications, including 3–5 years in leadership.
• Proven expertise in reputation management, stakeholder engagement, and crisis response.
• Strong digital and social media strategy experience.
• Exposure to CSR and ESG communication frameworks.
• Experience in budget management and agency/vendor oversight.
• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
