About the role

MY IMAN FOODS (M) SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to oversee the preparation and delivery of exceptional Malay cuisine at our restaurant in Cyberjaya, Selangor. As a full‑time position, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen, training and leading a team of skilled chefs, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and customer service.

What you’ll be doing
  • Develop and refine Malay‑inspired menus, creating innovative and flavourful dishes that showcase your culinary expertise.
  • Manage all kitchen operations, including inventory control, food preparation, plating, and ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of talented chefs, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Monitor kitchen productivity and efficiency, implementing process improvements to enhance workflow and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with the restaurant management team to ensure customer satisfaction and align with the brand’s vision and values.
  • Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and best practices in Malay cuisine to continuously enhance the restaurant’s offerings.
What we’re looking for
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or equivalent, with a proven track record of leading successful Malay cuisine‑focused kitchens.
  • Formal culinary training or a degree in Hospitality Management or Culinary Arts, with a specialisation in Malay cuisine.
  • Exceptional knowledge of Malay cooking techniques, flavours, and ingredients, and the ability to create authentic and innovative Malay‑inspired dishes.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of skilled chefs.
  • Excellent time management, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
