We are looking for a creative and proficient in all aspects of food preparation, Head Chef - Central Kitchen. You will be “the chief” and maintain complete control of the kitchen.

The Head Chef of Central Kitchen is responsible for overseeing all operations of the central kitchen facility, ensuring consistent food quality, safety, and efficiency across multiple outlets. This role requires strong leadership, culinary expertise, and operational management skills to support the organization’s food production needs.

Responsible for all food production including that used for restaurants, banquet functions and other outlets. Develop menus, food purchase specifications and recipes. Supervise staff. Develop and monitor food and labour budget for the department. Maintain highest professional food quality and sanitation standards.

  • Develop and implement operational strategies for the central kitchen.
  • Align kitchen operations with company goals and brand standards.
Operational Management
  • Oversee daily food production, preparation, and distribution to outlets.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards.
  • Optimize workflow, equipment usage, and resource allocation.
Quality Control
  • Maintain consistent taste, presentation, and portion standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and implement corrective actions.
Team Management
  • Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff.
  • Manage scheduling, performance reviews, and staff development.
  • Control food costs, labour costs, and minimize wastage.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and reports.
  • Collaborate with chefs and R&D teams to develop new menus and products.
  • Introduce process improvements and modern cooking technologies.
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers for quality ingredients.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement.
Job Requirements
  • Proven working experience as a Head Chef.
  • Expert knowledge of Restaurant’s cuisine and keep up with cooking trends, ability to develop unique recipes and best practices.
  • Current knowledge of trends on the restaurant industry.
  • Excellent record of Kitchen Management, capable of delegating multiple tasks and Communication and leadership skills. Including motivation and goal setting.
  • Comfortable training, directing and supervising kitchen staff.
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs.
