Head, BPA - Corporate & Commercial Banking

We are looking for an experienced and driven professional to lead the Business Performance Analysis (BPA) function for our Corporate Banking and Commercial Banking divisions at RHB Bank Berhad. As Head, BPA – Corporate & Commercial Banking, you will play a critical role in shaping business strategies, driving financial performance, and supporting senior management with timely insights to achieve business goals and KPIs. This role works closely with business heads, Group Finance, and key stakeholders across the Group to ensure strong performance management, effective cost control, and sound financial governance.

What you will be doing

Keep abreast of developments in the local corporate market landscape and provide analytics for benchmarking in Corporate Banking’s peers and competitive analysis.

Work with Group Finance on the annual budgeting to ensure that targets are in line with RHB Group’s expectations.

Monitor business teams’ and Corporate Banking and Commercial Banking financial performance against targets /budgets to ensure achievement of business KPIs.

Manages effective implementation of business plans /strategies /KPIs for the business to increase profitability.

Provide monthly business performance review and financial analysis to Business Head for presentation to Group Corporate and Business Banking Council to update Business division monthly performance.

Manage business pipelines & projections; track fee income and CA/IA provisions of business groups to generate accurate Balance Sheet and P&L forecast.

Develop effective management and analytical tools for Business Heads’ portfolio performance management to help to support them in achieving their KPIs.

Track Corporate Banking and Commercial Banking collaboration/ cross selling initiatives across the RHB group to maximize customer group profitability.

Work with Grp Finance on compliance with relevant new accounting standards.

Oversees the administration functions of Corporate Regional Offices to ensure they are in line with SBG’s and RHB Group guidelines.

Implementation of process improvement to enhance operational efficiency

Operational cost management to maximize divisional profits.

Ensure Group Corporate Banking and Commercial Banking business financial reporting and treatment is in compliance with regulatory requirement and guidelines

What we’re looking for

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate or investment banking within an established financial institution.

Strong expertise in planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.

In depth understanding of banking operations, systems, and end to end process flows.

Solid knowledge of Basel II & III requirements and MFRS 9.

Good understanding of corporate and commercial banking business models, market segments, and strategic objectives.

Strong leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive and analytical mindset.

Professional certifications such as Certified Credit Professional or Omega’s Credit Skill Assessment are an advantage.
