Job summary

A leading consultancy firm in Kuala Lumpur is looking for an HCM Functional Consultant to oversee the functional analysis and ensure alignment of business needs with ERP implementations. The ideal candidate will have experience in large-scale international projects, particularly with Ramco HCM, and a solid understanding of modules such as payroll and employee data management. Proficiency in English and the ability to travel for design workshops in HK and SG are crucial. This role promises an engaging challenge in a diverse environment.

Qualifications

Job description

HCM Functional consultant (Location: Kuala Lumpur)

Tasks
  • Leads the functional analysis to collect, understand in detail and challenge the business needs for the assigned application module and country.
  • Consolidates collected business needs in formally written requirements (in English) and prepares the system life documentation (functional specifications, blueprints, data migration plan, etc.).
  • Drives business sign‑off of the collected requirements and priorities.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with the ERP vendor team to ensure completion of analysis activities needed within the project deadlines.
  • Cooperates with solution architecture to ensure that the produced design is in line with the business needs and Adecco template.
  • Works closely with the Business and IT project manager to deliver the data migration from legacy system to new ERP (design, build, collect, test, migrate, coordinate validation, obtain sign‑off).
  • Delivers documentation as per project requirements.
  • Contributes to UAT preparation and execution for the requirements and module scope assigned: test case preparation, execution plan with business testers, defects analysis (together with the development team and the testers), and preparation of the business users who take part in the tests.
  • Helps in payroll parallel runs and validation of payroll results.
Needed skills
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written.
  • Mobility with punctual trips of 1‑2 weeks to HK, SG to participate in design workshops.
  • Previous experience of at least 3 years as functional analyst or 2 years as functional lead in large‑scale international projects involving integration of different systems.
  • Previous experience in ERP (Ramco HCM preferred), Payroll projects.
  • Ability to work per objectives and autonomously organize to achieve them.
  • Ability to work in large teams with a complex combination of actors involved and both technology and business transformation stakes.
  • Previous experience in projects that involved teams located in different time zones and the use of remote meeting tools.
  • Willingness to work in a highly challenging environment.
  • Must have a bachelor's or equivalent degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience with Human Capital Management products.
  • Should have experience in modules like employee data, onboarding, payroll, time (leave, scheduling), claims, travel, employee lifecycle.
  • Should have experience mapping ERP functionalities to HR processes of client operations in various countries such as HK, MY, SG, etc.
  • Exposure in ERP projects is a must and must be able to design for data conversion, interface and report requirements in ERP implementations.
  • Should be able to prepare requirements, design and test, documents and solution.
  • Should be able to work in a multi‑cultural, multi‑lingual, challenging and dynamic environment.
