Job summary

A global engineering firm in Penang is seeking a qualified Engineer to provide design services and support product development. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least three years of related experience. Responsibilities include independent work in the Product Realization Process and producing detailed project documentation.

Job description

Purpose Statement

To perform engineering design services and other related product development and/or product commercialization services. Please refer to discipline core skills for specifics.

Key Job Accountabilities

• Demonstrates the ability to work independently within at least one phase for the Product Realization Process, where applicable without direction from mentors or functional management.
• Produces comprehensive project documentation in accordance with the quality and change management procedures and guidelines.
• Utilizes appropriate tools and equipment to perform necessary design work including design creation, design analysis, and design verification.
• Develops engineering/product concepts that are high-quality, cost-appropriate, and satisfy the customer's requirements where applicable, while establishing an area of technical specialty and mentoring others on the team (in-discipline).
• Demonstrates skill in multiple phases of the full product realization process, as it applies to their role & region

Education/Experience Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required; a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or higher is preferred.
• Three (3) years of related experience is required; Three (3) or more years of related experience is preferred.
