Job summary

Esmart Laundry Sdn. Bhd. in Kajang, Malaysia seeks a hands-on Logistics Coordinator to manage daily logistics, coordinate drivers, and resolve delivery problems, stepping in as backup driver when needed.

You will oversee deliveries, collections, lorry routes and driver schedules to ensure on-time service. This role requires a valid GDL license, 2+ years in logistics, and proficiency in Excel/Sheets; familiarity with laundry/hospitality logistics is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in logistics, transportation or delivery coordination.
• Must possess a valid GDL license.
• Experience managing lorry drivers and delivery schedules is preferred.
• Must be willing and able to drive a lorry as a backup driver when required.
• Basic knowledge of lorry operation and maintenance.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily laundry collection & delivery schedules for hotel and commercial customers.
• Plan and monitor lorry routes and driver schedules.
• Coordinate with drivers, customers and laundry production team.
• Monitor daily deliveries, collections and trolley movement.
• Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed on time.
• Handle urgent deliveries, missing linen and delivery issues.
• Conduct daily lorry condition checks and ensure vehicles are safe and operational.
• Perform basic checks on tyres, brakes, lights, engine oil, coolant, battery and other essential items.
• Identify and report lorry problems and maintenance requirements.
• Coordinate vehicle servicing and repairs when necessary.
• Maintain Delivery Orders (DO), delivery records and logistics reports.
• Handle customer enquiries and delivery-related issues.
• Act as a backup lorry driver when necessary, especially during driver shortage, emergency or leave.
• Assist the Operations team with other logistics-related duties.
