Responsibilities

  • Maintain a friendly, neat and pleasant image to guests.
  • Provide courteous service to guests and respond promptly and tactfully to guests' complaints.
  • Sell, register and assign rooms to incoming guests.
  • Check-in and check-out guests based on standard operating procedures.
  • Inform other relevant departments on guest arrivals and special arrangements.
  • Maintain records of guest arrivals and departures.
  • Prepare a folio for each guest.
  • Maintain and control an accurate room status.
  • Record unusual happenings and important matters.
  • Handle guest mail, parcels, messages, etc.
  • Keep a record of incoming mail and messages.
  • Maintain an up-to-date record of all room accounts.
  • Ensure all guests settle their accounts before leaving.
  • Facilitate the use of safe deposit boxes.
  • Carry out all requests for wake-up calls diligently.
  • Respect the privacy of telecommunications.
  • Relay messages and wake-up calls to the next shift.
  • Be familiar with all emergency procedures.
  • Assist in any other ad hoc duties.

Guest Service Representative (based in Kuala Lumpur)

The Guest Services Representative will be responsible for the efficient rooming of hotel guests according to standard operating procedures. Prepares and maintains records pertinent to guests staying in the hotel and control of room status. Records, maintains and collates room accounts. Ensures that all guests settle their accounts before leaving the hotel.

  • Maintain a friendly, neat and pleasant image to guests.
  • Provide courteous service to guests and respond promptly and tactfully to guests' complaints, requests and inquiries.
  • Sell, register and assign rooms to incoming guests.
  • Check-in and check-out guests based on standard operating procedures.
  • Inform other relevant departments on guest arrivals, room changes, check-outs and special arrangements.
  • Maintain records of guest arrivals and departures.
  • Prepare a folio for each guest.
  • Maintain and control an accurate room status.
  • Record in the logbook any unusual happenings and important matters that require follow-up.
  • Handle guest mail, parcels, messages etc. and establish identity of guests before handing them the items.
  • Keep a record of incoming mail and messages.
  • Maintain an up-to-date record of all room accounts.
  • Ensure all guests settle their accounts by the proper form of payment before leaving the hotel.
  • Facilitate the use of safe deposit boxes by hotel guests.
  • Carry out all requests for wake-up calls diligently.
  • Always respect the privacy of telecommunications.
  • Relay to the staff from the next shift all messages and wake-up calls either to transmitted or carried out.
  • Be familiar with all emergency procedures.
  • Assist in any other ad hoc duties from time to time.
