Job summary

Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur (KL Midtown) is seeking a Security Officer to ensure the safety and comfort of guests and colleagues. You will patrol front of house, back of house and plant rooms, conduct security inquiries, and submit initial reports while ensuring fire, life and safety systems are operational.

You will perform emergency procedures including attending to fire alarms and lift rescues. Ideal candidates hold a Certificate or Diploma in Safety and Security with at least 2 years in

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Safety and Security required.
• Minimum 2 years work experience as Security Officer in Hospitality industry.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally.
• Basic first aid and CPR knowledge (certification preferred).
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing risks.

Responsibilities

• Patrols front of house, back of house and plant rooms to ensure safety and security of guests and colleagues.
• Conducts enquiries and checks on security and fire related incidents and submits initial reports.
• Ensures fire, life and safety systems are operational.
• Performs emergency procedures relating to fire, life and safety including attending to fire alarms and lift rescue.
