To serve as the control tower of the MD Office, ensuring disciplined execution, operational visibility, financial oversight, and relationship/pipeline follow-through across the Group’s portfolio companies, assets, and strategic initiatives. The role translates MD priorities into measurable actions, ensures accountability, and prevents execution or financial surprises.
Key Responsibilities
- Group Execution & Performance Management
- Own the Group execution cadence, ensuring MD decisions convert into tracked deliverables
- Maintain a Group-wide action tracker across companies/projects, with deadlines, owners, and status
- Drive weekly execution reviews, highlight bottlenecks, and escalate risks early
- Implement RAG (Red/Amber/Green) reporting for portfolio initiatives and key priorities
- Business Operations Oversight
- Track and monitor operational performance across portfolio companies
- Flag early warning signals (execution delays, cash constraints, KPI underperformance)
- Coordinate cross-company issue resolution and ensure closure of critical deliverables
- Review and analyze P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow across companies/assets
- Support budgeting, forecasting, variance tracking, and performance scorecards
- Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly principal/MD reports with insights and action recommendations
- Ensure consistent reporting templates, accuracy, and on-time delivery across companies
- 4) Relationship & Opportunity Pipeline Tracking
- Track introductions, meetings, and relationship follow-ups initiated by the MD Office
- Maintain a structured relationship + opportunity pipeline (who / purpose / status / next steps)
- Ensure post-meeting action items are documented and closed with accountability
- 5) Deal / Proposal Support
- Support deal screening, proposal structuring, and pipeline tracking
- Assist in preparing investment materials (screening notes, summaries, comparisons)
- Coordinate diligence workstreams and external advisors when required
- Monitor deal timelines and keep MD updated on key risks and milestones
- 6) Governance & Decision Tracking
- Support preparation of key decision logs, meeting minutes, and action documentation
- Track approvals and follow-through on strategic decisions across companies and initiatives
- Weekly execution tracker & MD priority dashboard
- Portfolio RAG report and risk register
- Relationship and opportunity pipeline tracker
- Deal / proposal pipeline tracker and status updates
Requirements
- 5–10 years experience in strategy, operations, MD/CEO office, corporate finance, audit, consulting, or equivalent
- Strong execution discipline with a high follow-up and closure mindset
- Strong ability to analyze P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow, and business performance drivers
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), able to present clearly to senior stakeholders
- High discretion, maturity, and professional judgment
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint capability for management reporting and structured analysis
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity and multi-company priorities
- 90%+ Group action items closed on time
- Weekly/monthly reports delivered accurately and on schedule
- Clear early-warning visibility: no major surprises on operations or financial performance
- Follow-up discipline: 100% meetings logged with next steps tracked within 48 hours
