Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for local and expatriate roles.
  • Act as the primary HR liaison for Heads of Departments.

  • Maintain HRIS databases and ensure compliance with Malaysian labour laws.
  • Handle expatriate visa applications and work permits.
  • Prepare weekly HR reports and analyze recruitment metrics.
  • Organize company events and coordinate with government departments.

Are you a dynamic HR professional passionate about fostering a positive workplace and driving operational excellence? ELS Language Centres Malaysia and its associate companies are seeking a dedicated Group Human Resource Generalist to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Finance & Administration and the Managing Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the full spectrum of HR activities across all departments, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and alignment with our organisational values.

Responsibilities
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage end-to-end recruitment for local and expatriate roles, from job postings and CV screening to onboarding and induction.
  • HR Support: Act as the primary HR liaison for Heads of Departments, handling HR documentation, leave tracking, contract renewals, and more.
  • Employee Relations & Wellbeing: Address employee grievances, support wellbeing initiatives, and ensure workplace safety compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards.
  • Training & Development: Coordinate training programs, manage HRDF grant claims, and track training effectiveness.
  • HR Operations & Payroll: Maintain HRIS databases, prepare HR documents, and ensure compliance with Malaysian labour laws, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and immigration regulations.
  • Expatriate Administration: Handle expatriate visa applications, work permits, and relocation support while maintaining compliance with government regulations.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Prepare weekly HR reports, analyze recruitment metrics, and support HR audits.
  • Events & Projects: Organize company events, coordinate with government departments, and assist in legal matters and office operations.
What We’re Looking For
  • Education: Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant HR operational experience preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, immigration procedures, and HRDF requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • High integrity and attention to detail.
