The ideal candidate must possess professional certifications such as ACCA or CPA, along with experience in a public listed company. Qualifications

  • Possess professional certification i.e. ACCA, CPA or MIA member.
  • Prior experience in an audit firm with commercial experience in a public listed company.
  • Experience in Group Consolidation is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Review and manage group accounts function including financial reporting and budgeting.
  • Prepare quarterly interim financial report for announcement.
  • Liaise with divisional management and external auditors to ensure compliance.

Company Background

We are representing our client a well-established and reputable public listed organization with strong presence in the manufacturing and industrial sector, serving both domestic and international markets.

  • Reporting to Group Financial Controller

Main Responsibilities

  • Review and manage the group accounts function on matters relating to the preparation of condensed consolidated accounts and periodic financial reporting, budgets and financial projection, taxation and audit.
  • Prepare, analyse, and review the group financial and management reports, including: monthly management accounts, financial reports, taxation and departmental operating reports.
  • Prepare quarterly interim financial report for announcement to Bursa.
  • Prepare yearly audited accounts and yearly budgeting and financial projection.
  • Review and analyse the group and divisional financial performance, and support management's business decision making by providing financial analysis and business insight on the group financial performance.
  • Liaise with divisional management to produce monthly reporting and provide commentary to senior management on significant variances.
  • Manage and review announcements, circulars, submission documents and proposals to ensure compliance with authorities’ requirements.
  • Conduct, analyse, and implement corporate proposals, corporate finance initiatives and capital raising exercises.
  • Liaise with external and internal auditors, tax agents and relevant authorities to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and financial reporting standards.
  • Review and improve the existing internal control system and departmental operating procedures and processes.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as necessary on an ad‑hoc basis.

Requirements

  • Possess professional certification i.e. ACCA, CPA or MIA member.
  • Prior experience in an audit firm with commercial experience in a public listed company; preferably from manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in Group Consolidation is a must.
  • Knowledge in Corporate Finance and financial modelling is an added advantage.
  • Analytical and meticulous attention to detail.
