Hatch Asia has been appointed to lead the search for a Group Chief Technology Officer for a renowned and forward thinking organization with a strong presence across Southeast Asia. The organization operates across a diverse portfolio of strong profitable businesses and has built it's reputational capital through committing to innovation, championing growth and leveraging technology.

The main objective of this role is to lead and elevate the Group's technology vision, strategy, and delivery to enhance digital transformation, secure competitive advantage, scale innovation, and accelerate business growth across ASEAN.

The Challenges

• Define and articulate a compelling long-term technology strategy aligned wih the group's overall objectives.
• Lead innovation initatives around AI/ML and cloud with clear ROI focus algined to group's strategic imperatives.
• Tranlate strategic objectives into a cohesive actionable technology
• Oversee end to end technical operations, infrastruture, platforms and security.
• Drive cybersecurity and risk mitigation across cloud, hybrid and unstructured data.
• Focus on commercial-impact: aligning tech initiatives with revenue growth, customer engagement and retention.
• Embed metrics and governance to track ROI, value delivery, execution speed and risk.
• Champion digital transformation through value-driven innovation and strong organizational influence.
• Build and lead high-performing teams in DevOps, Cloud, Data and Cybersecurity whilst cultivating a resilient tech culture.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration to embed digital fluency across academic and non-academic units.
• Drive AI/ML, analytics and automation initatives with accountable ROI models.
• Lead data strategy, analytics, infrastructure modernization, compliance and privacy.
• keep pace with innovation trends - cloud-native, low-code, generative AI- for practical application.
• Lead and operationalise IT due diligence for technology-related acquistiions and partnerships.
• integrate systems, processes, teams rapidly post-M&A to ensure agility and unified systems.

What It Takes

• Experienced executive from technology forward environments, ideally within Conglomerates, Real Estate & Infrastructure, family businesses, however not mandatory.
• Proven track record in technology strategy, business alignment and large scale digital deployment.
• Commercially astute technologist with leadership experience in deploying relevant AI, Cloud, Data & Cyber Security solutions.
• Proven track record as an enterprise CTO with exposure within ASEAN.
