A leading waste management solutions provider in Malaysia is seeking a Group Finance Manager to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, with 7-10 years of related experience, including 3 years in a managerial capacity. Strong IFRS knowledge and proficiency in ERP/accounting software are essential. The role offers the chance to drive financial performance across multiple regions and requires excellent leadership skills.
Prepare and review consolidated financial statements for the group in accordance with IFRS/MFRS.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision‑making for HQ (Malaysia) and branches in Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, India and etc.
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Oversee group cash flow planning, ensuring optimal liquidity management.
Develop strategies for effective working capital management.
Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations.
Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
Develop and implement strong internal controls and financial policies.
Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with business unit leaders to drive financial performance.
Provide financial insights and reports to senior management and the board.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
Experience: Minimum 7‑10 years of relevant experience in group finance, accounting, or auditing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of IFRS/MFRS, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in ERP/accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Auto Count or similar systems).
Advanced MS Excel skills for financial analysis.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Experience in a manufacturing or listed company environment is an added advantage.
Prior involvement in IPO preparation or corporate finance initiatives is beneficial.
