Qualifications

• Proven experience as Grinding Machinist or similar operator in manufacturing or semiconductor sector.
• Experience with precision grinding machinery and wheel selection.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical tolerances, blueprints, and drawings.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments and QC procedures.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet strict specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor precision grinding machines to manufacture semiconductor components per specs.
• Set up grinding equipment, adjust wheels, speeds, and feeds to achieve tolerances.
• Inspect finished components using micrometres, calipers, and gauges for quality.
• Maintain accurate records of production runs, material usage, and defects.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of grinding machines.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report to supervisors.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and SOPs.
• Collaborate with team to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Handle raw materials and finished components to prevent damage.

H Seven Semiconductor Services Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Grinding Machinist to join our manufacturing team in Masai, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our semiconductor services operations. As a Grinding Machinist, you will be responsible for operating precision grinding equipment to produce high-quality components that meet stringent industry standards. This role is integral to maintaining our production schedules and ensuring the exceptional quality of our products.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor precision grinding machines to manufacture semiconductor components and parts according to technical specifications and drawings
• Set up grinding equipment, including adjusting wheels, speeds, and feeds to achieve required tolerances and surface finishes
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments such as micrometres, callipers, and gauges to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Maintain accurate records of production runs, including quantities produced, material used, and any defects or issues encountered
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of grinding machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, reporting issues to supervisors or maintenance teams promptly
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations and standard operating procedures within the manufacturing facility
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines
• Handle raw materials and finished components with care to prevent damage and contamination

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Grinding Machinist or similar machine operator role within the manufacturing or semiconductor industry
• Proficiency in operating precision grinding machines and understanding of grinding wheel selection and maintenance
• Strong knowledge of mechanical tolerances, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Experience with precision measuring instruments and quality control procedures
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce work to strict specifications
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Reliability and commitment to maintaining consistent attendance and punctuality
• Willingness to comply with health and safety protocols and continuous improvement initiatives
• Preferred: Certification or formal training in machine operation or manufacturing processes
• Preferred: Experience in the semiconductor or electronics manufacturing sector
