Job summary

Popular Book Co. (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Creative Marketing Designer in Kuala Lumpur to develop print and digital collateral, including newspaper ads, leaflets, POS materials and banners.

You will craft artwork for our online platforms and assist in photo shoots, ensuring brand consistency. Diploma or degree holders with 1–2 years in advertising or design are encouraged to apply, with strong Adobe CC skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Art/Design/Creative Multimedia, Advertising/Media or equivalent.
• Preferred 1–2 years of experience in related field, major in advertising, publication, ATL/BTL design.
• Proficient in Adobe CC: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; After Effects & Premiere Pro; drawing skills are a plus.
• Ability to create localised branding collaterals for print ads, banners and digital assets.
• Ability to multi-task with urgency to deliver quality work under minimal supervision.
• Strong teamwork, communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare above-the-line and below-the-line marketing materials (print ads, posters, leaflets, POS).
• Create fresh artworks for online & social media (POPULAR Online website, Google ads, Instagram & Facebook).
• Assist in photo shoots for promotional items, press ads, posters and events.
• Maintain brand and guidelines to ensure consistent execution.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Company.

• To prepare both above-the-line and below-the-line marketing materials, i.e. printed advertisement in newspaper/magazine/leaflet, POS, printed marketing materials for the company.
• To create creative and fresh artworks for company’s online & social media platforms. (e.g. POPULAR Online website, google ad, Instagram & Facebook)
• To assist in photo shooting for advertised/promotional items for press ad/leaflet, posters, events and activities.
• To maintain brand and standard guidelines to ensure consistent brand-appropriate execution.
• To perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Company.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Art/ Design/ Creative Multimedia, Advertising/ Media or equivalent.
• Preferred 1-2 year(s) of working experiencein the related field and major in advertising, publication, ATL, BTL design is required for this position.
• Required skills:Adobe CC Applications - Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design. After Effect & Premium Pro & drawing Skill is an additional advantage.
• Have a flair for creating and designing localised branding collaterals materials for print ads, banners, and digital assets such as website and social media platform.
• Ability to multi-task, processing excellent work attitude with sense of urgency to produce quality work, under minimal supervision.
• A good team player & effective communicator, planning and organization skills to multi-task in a fast paced retail environment.
