Qualifications

Job description

UIG Architects Sdn Bhd is a fully registered architectural practice providing a wide range of architectural, design and project management consultancy services. We are seeking qualified individuals to join us as Graduate Architect (LAM Part II).

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform the role of an Architect in design and project management for residential, mixed development, commercial or master plan environment.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, prepare concept and schematic design drawings, design development, construction detailed drawings and building contract drawings;
  • Prepare tender documentation, schedules and material specifications;
  • Liaise with Client Representatives and Consultants at meetings to ensure project objectives are met;
  • Perform administrative and professional architectural works by managing projects from inception through implementation stage;
  • Lead and manage a team of architectural personnel consisting of Architects, Engineers, Designers and external Consultants to drive building excellence in architectural practices; and
  • Ensure design quality and works are carried out to the specific standards, building codes, guidelines and regulations.
Job Requirements and Conditions
  • Candidate must possess a Master's Degree in Architecture and have a minimum of 3 to 5 years working experience in a similar position as in design and project architecture. Salary Offered depends on the working experience;
  • Candidates registered with the Board of Architects Malaysia/LAM is an added value;
  • Able to develop and maintain strong client relationship and has excellent time management skills to meet tight timelines;
  • A Good Team Player with a strong sense of responsibilities, highly energized, independent and pleasant personality;
  • Good in articulation and writing skills. Able to think strategically and lead a design/documentation team;
  • Conversant with local codes and Malaysian Authority approval processes;
  • Good knowledge of design development, tender detailing and construction practices in high‑rise and commercial buildings or master planning projects;
  • Experience in project management processes, able to co‑ordinate and direct other consultants in all phases of architectural services;
  • Required language(s): Ability to speak and write in English and Bahasa Malaysia proficiently;
  • Software skill(s) requirement: Sketchup 3D modelling, MS Office application, MS Project, Adobe PhotoShop, AutoCad, Revit, MS Power Point, Lumion or any Rendering Software; and
  • Possess own transport is an added advantage.
