Job summary

Eppendorf Asia Pacific Sdn. Bhd. (EARC) seeks a procurement category professional to shape global strategy for mechanical components in APAC, with a Penang-based base.

You will drive RFQ/RFP processes, negotiate terms, and build strategic supplier networks to optimize TCO and supply continuity. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in procurement for mechanical parts, strong cost modeling skills, and experience with Southeast Asia suppliers, especially in manufacturing processes like machining and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 4+ years in procurement, category management or strategic sourcing with mechanical focus.
• Experience with machining, sheet metal fabrication, casting/forging and surface treatment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and update global category strategy for mechanical components.
• Lead RFQ/RFI/RFP processes with Engineering and Quality teams.
• Negotiate prices, tooling investments and long-term agreements to optimize TCO.
• Build strategic supplier relationships and support supplier development.
• Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Quality, Operations and Supply Chain globally.
