Job summary

Celestica, a global hardware design and manufacturing leader, seeks a Director of Design Engineering to drive end-to-end electrical system design and robust product development. You will collaborate with customers, manufacturing engineers, and project leaders to deliver high-quality hardware solutions while aligning with Celestica standards and processes.

You will lead cross-functional teams across regions, manage budgets, and advocate for state-of-the-art tools and methodologies to stay ahead

Qualifications

• 20+ years of relevant work experience with substantial expertise in project and team management.
• Experience managing teams in a multinational environment is preferred.
• Bachelor's or Master degree in a related engineering field, with a preference for electrical engineering or hardware design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement technical solutions for complex projects and participate in planning and scheduling.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to global engineering teams.
• Manage non-technical aspects of projects, including team management and financial oversight.
• Plan for team adoption of cutting-edge software and equipment, funded appropriately.
• Review customer specifications and serve as primary contact when needed.
• Analyze trade-offs in complex systems and deploy optimal solutions.
