Businesslist in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia seeks a Senior Executive in Global Customs & Trade Compliance to oversee documentation, governance, and operational compliance across multiple regions. The successful candidate will navigate complex import/export regulations, participate in process improvements, and contribute to digital transformation within customs operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience within Customs Operations, Trade Compliance, Foreign Trade, Import/Export Operations, Global Trade Management, or Supply Chain Compliance functions.
• Good understanding of customs regulations, trade compliance requirements, import/export processes, and foreign trade operations.
• Experience reviewing customs documentation and supporting customs-related operational activities.
• Exposure to customs audits, compliance reviews, trade governance, or regulatory requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and compliance mindset.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, collaboration, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, validate, and manage customs-related import and export documentation to ensure compliance with local and international customs regulations.
• Support customs operations activities across multiple countries and regions.
• Act as a key contact for customs-related operational inquiries, escalations, and issue resolution.
• Investigate customs discrepancies, delayed shipments, missing documentation, tariff classification issues, and trade compliance concerns.
• Ensure customs processes comply with trade regulations, customs laws, company policies, and operational standards.
• Support foreign trade activities, customs governance, and operational compliance requirements.
• Assist with customs compliance assessments, health checks, audits, and regulatory reviews.
• Monitor changes in customs regulations and evaluate impacts to business operations.
• Support the maintenance of customs-related data, reporting, and dashboard preparation.
• Participate in process improvement, digitalization, and automation initiatives within customs operations.
• Contribute to standardization of customs processes, reporting frameworks, and operational controls.
• Support system enhancement, testing, and implementation activities relating to customs operations.
• Maintain and enhance operational documentation including SOPs, work instructions, and process guides.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Global Customs & Trade Compliance - (Senior Executive) should have:

• 3-6 years of experience within Customs Operations, Trade Compliance, Foreign Trade, Import/Export Operations, Global Trade Management, or Supply Chain Compliance functions
