A global fintech company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Executive/Manager to drive the growth of payment products in international markets. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in product operations, channel management, or risk control within fintech. Responsibilities include conducting market research, developing strategies for user acquisition, and overseeing risk compliance. We are a global payment gateway and looking for a versatile and results-driven professional to drive the end-to-end growth of our payment products in new international markets. This role combines product operations, channel partnerships, and risk oversight to ensure successful market entry and sustainable scaling. Accountability to understanding local dynamics, building partnerships, acquiring users, and implementing controls to safeguard growth.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth research on local payment habits, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscape in markets such as Indonesia and the Philippines.
Develop and execute a localized growth strategy covering product positioning, user acquisition, and partnership models.
Identify, onboard, and manage high-potential channel partners (e.g., payment gateways, financial institutions, e-commerce platforms).
Provide partners with training, tools, and ongoing support to drive joint business growth.
User Growth & Operations
Lead market cold-start initiatives through targeted campaigns, online/offline activations, and partner collaborations.
Build and optimize user lifecycle programs—onboarding, engagement, and retention—to maximize transaction volume and revenue.
Risk & Compliance Oversight
Implement risk control frameworks tailored to local market needs, monitoring transactions and mitigating fraud.
Collaborate with global risk and compliance teams to align local operations with company policies.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product, Tech, Marketing, and Legal teams to deliver localized solutions and seamless user experiences.
Serve as the voice of the market, providing data-driven insights to shape product and operational improvements.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in product operations, channel management, business development, or risk control within payments, fintech, e-commerce, or SaaS.
Proven track record of launching and scaling products or services in Southeast Asian markets.
Strong analytical skills—able to use data (SQL/Tableau is a plus) to drive strategy and decision-making.
Excellent project management and communication skills, with fluency in English. Knowledge of other language would be a strong advantage.
Experience building teams or managing partnerships in a high-growth, cross-cultural environment.
Self-motivated and adaptable—able to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced settings.
