Job summary

Randstad Malaysia seeks a Global Trade Compliance Lead (Customs Classification - German Speaking) in Kuala Lumpur to lead governance, SAP GTS optimization, and cross-regional teams. You will drive compliant classifications for chemical and non-chemical products while coordinating with Global Supply Chain and regional leadership.

The role requires 8–10+ years in customs and foreign trade, with a strong focus on German language proficiency (B2+).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 8–10+ years in Customs, Classification, and Foreign Trade with strong Supply Chain alignment.
• Deep knowledge of customs classification (chemical & non-chemical) and global trade regulations.
• German language (B2+).

Responsibilities

• Global Classification Governance & Operations: establish unified global standards and data controls.
• Service Delivery & Stakeholder Interface: act as escalation authority for complex classification issues.
• Compliance & Audit Readiness: design internal controls, SOPs and risk mitigation.
• Digitalization & System Enhancement: drive automation and SAP GTS optimization.
• Global Team Leadership: direct multi-regional team, allocate resources and track KPIs.
• Performance Analytics & Governance: monitor dashboards and reporting across regions.
