General Manager, Plant Operations (Food Manufacturing)
Lead and manage the overall plant operations to ensure the efficient production of high-quality food products. Responsible for driving operational excellence, safety, and profitability while aligning with the company’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end plant operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and cost effectiveness.
- Accountable for plant financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and profitability targets.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and competitiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all quality, food safety, and regulatory standards (e.g. HACCP, ISO, GMP).
- Drive strong collaboration across production, maintenance, quality, and supply chain functions.
- Provide strategic leadership to develop, motivate, and mentor the workforce for peak performance.
- Maintain effective relationships with government agencies, certification bodies, and business partners.
- Monitor market trends and operational risks, implementing timely mitigation and improvement measures.
- Perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned by Management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Food Science, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in food processing or FMCG.
- Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
- Sound knowledge of HACCP, ISO, GMP, and other food safety management systems.
- Financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and KPIs effectively.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- High level of integrity, resilience, and adaptability to dynamic business environments.
