Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm is seeking a General Manager of Human Resources to lead the HR function across Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, and South Korea. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in HR management within a multinational environment, strong commercial acumen, and a focus on employee policies and talent development. This role offers the opportunity to be part of the Senior Leadership team and manage diverse HR functions across several countries.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years at General Management level in HR.
  • Experience in a multinational business is essential.
  • Minimum 5+ years of multinational business experience required.
  • Demonstrated sound commercial thinking with excellent results.
  • Experience in an industrial goods/product environment.

Our client is a global leading manufacturer and marketer of industrial products aligned with materials handling equipment. Their operations in Southeast Asia are in their early stages of growth - to date, they are exceeding all expectations.

An opportunity now exists for a talented General Manager of Human Resources to join the business to lead the human resource function across Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, and South Korea.

Multi-country work authorisation is required to operate across all Southeast Asian markets including Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, and South Korea.

Responsibilities
  • be part of the Senior Leadership team for SEA
  • manage industrial relations
  • lead and manage employee policies and procedures
  • lead the internal recruitment and talent development programs
  • manage all remuneration and benefits
Qualifications
  • at least three years at a General Management level in HR
  • worked in a multinational business
  • minimum 5+ years of multinational business experience is required
  • is teritiary qualified
  • holds an HR or Business degree as tertiary qualification
  • can demonstate a sound commercial thinking coupled with excellent results in prior positions
  • worked in an industrial goods/ product environment
  • minimum 1-2 years of industrial goods or product environment experience is required
